The Mecklenburg Longrifle School, active from 1770 to 1835 in North Carolina, was established by gunsmith Isaac Price and trained several apprentices, including notable gunsmiths like Zenas Alexander. The school produced distinctive Longrifles characterized by unique architectural features and decorative elements, reaching its peak between 1810 and 1835.
