What is Caring for God's people : a handbook for elders and ministers on pastoral care about?

This text sets out to address the question of how to care for God's people. In the Presbyterian tradition of the Church, elders are entrusted with the care of a district, or a number of members in their congregation. Sometimes they can be called upon to look after non-Christian members as well. For this demanding responsibility, Elders are rarely given training or the support they need and deserve for such work. This book is designed to provide guidance for the individual Elder, and to provide ideas for training and to encourage mutual support.
