What is Where I Work: Chia-Hsuan Hsu about?

Chia-Hsuan Hsu, a postdoctoral researcher, is studying the decline of red-clawed crabs in Yilan County, Taiwan, due to habitat loss from overdevelopment. He emphasizes the importance of connecting with local communities and educating them about conservation efforts, as small organisms like crabs cannot advocate for themselves. Hsu aims to create artificial wetlands and microhabitats to support these crabs, highlighting the need for a balance between development and environmental preservation.
