What is Rizal about?

Rizal was summoned back to Manila from his exile in Dapitan. At midnight on July 31, 1896, he embarked on a steamer alongside Josephine, Narcisa, Angelica, his nephews, and pupils. As a farewell, the town brass played a funeral march. Rizal wrote sadly in his diary about spending over four years in exile in Dapitan before leaving to return to Manila.
