What is 2018 Eighth International Conference on Instrumentation & Measurement, Computer, Communication and Control (IMCCC) - The Current Sensor Design Based on Full-Symmetric and Non-Magnetic Rogowski Coil about?

Current sensor plays an irreplaceable role in the measurement and protection of power system. In this paper, we designed a new current sensor based on full-symmetric and nonmagnetic Rogowski coil, which can be used under complex electromagnetic environment because of its excellent uniformity and great anti-interference property. By simulating the equivalent circuit and measuring the induced electromotive force, experiments have been designed to test 3 different wiring methods of Rogowski coil. The best wiring method have been selected depending on the relative error between experimental data and the standard value, which is obtained by calculating the transfer formula in not only time domain but also frequency domain. Meanwhile, the conditioning circuit has been designed according to the circumstances. The experiment shows that wiring methods of full-symmetric and non-magnetic Rogowski coil have certain effect on the measurement accuracy, and taking frequency domain features into account when calculating the standard value helps to improve the performance of the current sensor.
