This document summarizes a study on the chemical composition of bergamot (Citrus bergamia Risso) essential oil obtained from peels in Tunisia via hydrodistillation. Fifteen compounds were identified, accounting for 98.52% of the oil. The main components were limonene (59.21%), linalool (9.51%), and linalyl acetate (16.83%). The results are compared to the composition of essential oil from bergamot grown in Reggio Calabria, Italy.
