What is Dobrynin VD-7M Engine Overview about?

The Dobrynin VD-7M and RD-7M2 were turbojet engines that powered the Tupolev Tu-22 bomber. The VD-7M produced up to 16,000 kg of thrust and was the most powerful mass-produced Soviet turbojet with afterburner at the time. It had an axial compressor and annular combustion chamber. The RD-7M2 was an improved version with higher thrust. Both engines used kerosene for normal operation and gasoline for starting.
