This study investigates the composite fouling characteristics of calcium carbonate (CaCO3) and nanometer magnesia in an alternating elliptical axis tube. Results indicate that CaCO3 inhibits particulate fouling formation, while the fouling resistance of nanometer magnesia is the highest among the materials tested. The fouling rate and resistance decrease with increased CaCO3 concentration, whereas higher nanometer magnesia concentration significantly increases fouling resistance.
