What is Tick Infestation in Camels of Iran about?

This study examined tick infestation of one-humped camels in northeastern Iran. A total of 200 camels were examined and 480 ticks were collected. Hyalomma dromedarii was the predominant tick species found, infesting 90.7% of camels. Significant differences were observed in tick burden between female and male camels. The study aimed to identify local tick species and determine the influence of camel sex and age on tick infestation rates.
