Can I read Brownian Motion with a Sticky Boundary and Point Sources in Quantum Mechanics on EtoBox?
Brownian Motion with a Sticky Boundary and Point Sources in Quantum Mechanics by M.J. Davies; A. Truman is a Mathematics article available to read on EtoBox.
What is Brownian Motion with a Sticky Boundary and Point Sources in Quantum Mechanics about?
we consider Nelson's stochastic mechanics for point sources of quantum mechanical particles with a 'sticky-type' boundary condition at the source-the most general boundary condition leading to continuous sample paths. For the usual quantum wave-function for a monochromatic source the radial Nelson diffusion is Brownian motion with a constant drift on [0, co) and with a sticky boundary at 0. We obtain detailed results for this process, its transition density, last exit times, and large time behaviour. Some of these results are of independent interest. 1.1. Preliminaries Consider a point source of quantum mechanical particles, with wave-function &(z) = exp(iklzl)
