What is Automatic Detection of Abnormal Behavior about?

The ADABTS project aims to develop models and algorithms for automatically detecting abnormal and threatening behaviors in surveillance data from crowded spaces in order to facilitate protection against terrorism, crime, and riots. It will gather experts to define behaviors and develop methods for analyzing video and audio sensor data to detect behaviors that deviate from normal. As part of this effort, algorithms will be adapted to run on commercially available low-cost hardware for real-time threat detect
