This document discusses simulations of aberration-compensated parallel beam shifts for fast electron-beam welding. Three different beam shift systems were considered: post-lens (LDD), pre-lens (DLD), and in-between lens (DDL). The best results were achieved with the pre-lens system (DLD), which provided a 20 mm beam displacement with minimal second-order aperture aberrations below the objective lens
