What is Gotong Royong for School Clean-Up about?

The students and teachers at a school organized a gotong royong, or community service day, to clean up the school grounds and classrooms in preparation for their upcoming Speech Day event. Boys cleared rubbish, swept leaves and pulled weeds while girls helped clean classrooms by wiping windows and mopping floors. After finishing, the tired students were treated to snacks and praised by their headmaster for their hard work.
