This study investigates the influence of sphere positioning on recovery coefficients in 177Lu SPECT/CT imaging using phantom simulations and measurements. The results indicate that sphere positioning significantly affects recovery, which should be considered in future SPECT accreditation efforts. The findings also suggest a need to reconsider the single-measurement method for partial volume correction due to the position dependency of recovery coefficients.
