Madan Kamdev is an archaeological site in Assam, India dating back to the 9th-10th century AD. Excavations at the site show the prosperity of the Pala dynasty that ruled the Kamarupa region. The ruins are scattered over 500 meters and include statues of Hindu gods like Shiva, Ganesha, and Vidhyadhar. Initial archaeologists disagreed on who constructed the temples, but excavations in 1977 unearthed ruins of 12 temples from the 10th-12th centuries with idols depicting figures from Hindu mythology.
