About this document

Twin Entanglement in Breech-Vertex Births by Varsha R Vastrad is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This study analyzes the incidence of twin entanglement and interlocking during vaginal deliveries of breech/vertex twins from 1987 to 1995, involving 541 twin deliveries. The findings indicate that only 7.9% of twins were breech/vertex, with a Cesarean section rate of 67.4%, and only one case of interlocking was recorded. The study suggests that the fear of interlocking contributes to the high Cesarean section rates, although no perinatal mortality was reported from these cases.
