Background and Aims: Sepsis is a frequent fatal complication of pneumonia. The quickSOFA score (qSOFA) is mortality predictor in critical patients. The Hour-1 bundle is recommended as the first reference for sepsis determination which is serum lactate > 2 mmol/L. The aim of this study was to find the correlation of qSOFA score and serum lactate in pneumonia patient with sepsis. Methods: A descriptive retrospective study with the cross-sectional design. The sample of this study was all pneumonia patient with sepsis in Arifin Achmad General Hospital. The sampling technique used was consecutive sampling, all data were collected from medical records and analyzed by SPSS for windows version 17. Results: Most of the patient was male (81%) and the average age was 53.7 years old. The mean qSOFA score is 2.3 and the mean serum lactate is 5.27 mmol/L. The most common causes of sepsis were Community Acquired Pneumonia (CAP). The bivariate analysis showed the correlation between qSOFA score and serum lactate levels (P<0.05). ## Conclusion: Serum lactate concentration showed the parameters of assess tissue oxygenation as assessed by the qSOFA score.
