What is Depression in Nursing Home Residents about?
This document assesses depression among elderly nursing home residents in Al-Najaf City, Iraq. A sample of 30 elderly residents completed questionnaires on socio-demographic characteristics and the Geriatric Depression Scale. Results found that 46.7% had mild depression and 40% had high depression according to the scale. The study also found most elderly residents had mild depression but no significant relationship between depression and socio-demographic variables.
