About this document

Understanding Pollination Types and Agents by Priyanshu is a document available to read on EtoBox.

Pollination is the process by which pollen is transferred between the male and female parts of flowers to enable plant fertilization and reproduction. There are two main types of pollination - self-pollination which occurs within the same flower, and cross-pollination which involves pollen transfer between different flowers. Pollination relies on biotic and abiotic agents such as wind, water, insects, birds and bats to transfer pollen from the anthers to the stigma to complete fertilization.
