Brother Andre is part biography and part devotional. It is a beautifully designed and illustrated keepsake to commemorate the canonization of Brother Andre on October 17, 2010, at the Vatican. He was born Alfred Bessette on August 9, 1845, to a large Catholic family in the town of St-Gregoire-d Iberville, Quebec. He joined the Holy Cross Congregation in 1874, and performed many healings and miracles. He became very popular among French-Canadians. His dream was to build a shrine to St. Joseph in Montreal. The vision evolved from a humble chapel to a giant landmark church that currently sits majestically overlooking over the city.
