About this document

Rhind Evals on Pony Appetite and Obesity by Jizun Sang Pembelajar is a document available to read on EtoBox.

The study examined the effects of season and body condition on appetite, body mass, and body composition in Welsh Mountain pony mares fed ad libitum over 12 weeks in summer and winter. Results indicated that non-obese ponies gained body mass more rapidly in summer compared to winter, while obese ponies showed a constant body mass regardless of season. The findings suggest that domestication may override natural mechanisms that regulate appetite and body mass, leading to obesity in ponies with unlimited food
