Can I read Surface Area Loss of Platinum Supported on Graphite on EtoBox?

Surface Area Loss of Platinum Supported on Graphite by K.F. Blurton; H.R. Kunz; D.R. Rutt is a Engineering article available to read on EtoBox.

What is Surface Area Loss of Platinum Supported on Graphite about?

A study was conducted of the loss of surface area of platinum when supported on both untreated and oxidized graphitized carbon black. The treatment of the graphite suppart was found to affect the rate of Pt area loss in a hot, concentrated &PO4 solution with the support prepared using the irod oxide catalysed oxidation of the graphite.resulting in the Ieast loss of F't surface area. The surface area loss was found to be relatively insensitive to electrode operating potential. A t-plot analysis of the nitrogen adsorption data on the support was used to explain the beneficial effect of the catalyti$ly 184
