The scoring rubric evaluates student work on social science core objectives on a scale of 0 to 4. For objective 1.1, applying deductive and inductive reasoning to analyze topics, a score of 4 requires consistent and thoughtful use of reasoning to provide a well-developed analysis and conclusions that follow from the reasoning. A score of 3 requires analysis based on reasoning and a reasonable analysis with conclusions consistent with the reasoning. A score of 2 requires some topic analysis not clearly based
