What is Fernando Amorsolo: National Artist Overview about?
Fernando Amorsolo was one of the most important Filipino artists of the 20th century. He was known for his portraits and pastoral scenes depicting rural Philippine life. Some of his most famous works include Afternoon Meal of the Rice Workers, The Conversion of the Filipinos, and The First Mass in the Philippines. Amorsolo received many honors for his artwork both in the Philippines and internationally, and he was the first Filipino artist named a National Artist of the Philippines.
