This study investigates heavy metal contaminants and health risks associated with Harmattan dust in Kaura Namoda, Nigeria. Samples collected from December 2023 to February 2024 revealed significant physicochemical differences, with high concentrations of lead and nickel posing health risks, particularly to children. The findings suggest that protective measures, such as wearing face masks, are necessary during the Harmattan season to mitigate exposure to harmful metals.
