This document reports on a new location of the critically endangered plant species Astragalus penduliflorus in the Bucegi Mountains in Romania. It reviews the known distribution of A. penduliflorus in the Romanian Carpathians based on herbarium materials and literature. Field surveys between 2003-2015 found populations of A. penduliflorus scattered between 1600-1900m in the Rodna and Bucegi Mountains, growing on limestone rocks and conglomerates.
