What is Linnaeus about?

Carl Linnaeus was a Swedish botanist who conducted several expeditions to catalog plants and animals. In 1732, he traveled over 2,000 km around northern Sweden, observing hundreds of previously unidentified plants and animals. His observations from this expedition were published in Flora Lapponica, considered the first modern botanical book. It introduced his system for classifying and naming species. In 1734, he led students on an expedition to Dalarna funded by the governor to document natural resources.
