What is Yom Kippur War: Causes and Consequences about?

The aim of the Yom Kippur War of 1973 was for Arab states to regain territories lost in previous wars from 1948 to 1967. There had been no progress diplomatically in resolving the issues of lost land and Palestinian refugees. By attacking Israel, Arab states hoped to retake the Sinai Peninsula, West Bank, and Golan Heights militarily.
