What is Struggles of an Aspiring Artist about?

Suzy stands reluctantly in the rain outside a store, shuffling in her flip-flops and holding a crumpled resume in her too-big parka pocket. She ponders mustering up the courage to go inside and beg for any job, though she would prefer pursuing art through writing poetry, painting, or selling artwork. However, facing the prospect of retail work or becoming an "over-aged grumpy housewife," Suzy feels despair that her life has not turned out as she envisioned after attending art school.
