What is Kootenay Highline Rescue System Guide about?

This highline system uses a single 11-mm rope as the track line and two 11-mm ropes as tag lines. The track line is tensioned using a 2:1 mechanical advantage attached with Prusik knots, allowing up to six people to tension it when supporting a load. Each tag line is attached to anchors on one side with Prusik knots and a brake bar, and a 2:1 MA on the other. They connect to a pulley attached by the rescue subject and must be actively belayed to prevent slack. The maximum practical length is 300 feet.
