This study examined plant use as cosmetic ingredients by the Malay ethnic group in Sungai Pinyuh Subdistrict, Indonesia. 17 plant species from 17 families were identified as having potential cosmetic use. Parts of plants commonly used were leaves. The most frequently cited plant was henna (Lawsonia inermis).
