This article presents a compact filtenna designed for 5G n257 operations, utilizing a fully shielded half-mode substrate-integrated waveguide (FSD-HMSIW) cavity to minimize energy leakage and enhance performance. The proposed design achieves a wide bandwidth, high peak gain, and stable bandpass filtering response over a wide beam-scanning angle of ±45°. A prototype has been fabricated and tested, demonstrating effective performance characteristics suitable for millimeter-wave applications.
