This study evaluated the force decay and color stability of orthodontic elastomeric chains (E-chains) after exposure to different fluoridated mouthwashes. Results indicated that E-chains immersed in chlorhexidine gluconate and sodium fluoride mouthwash exhibited significantly higher force decay and color changes compared to those in sodium fluoride mouthwash and artificial saliva. The findings suggest that the choice of mouthwash can impact the clinical performance of E-chains in orthodontic treatment.
