What is General Gouraud: WWI Biography about?

Henri-Joseph-Étienne Gouraud was a French general born in 1867. He served in the colonial army in Africa and Morocco before World War I. During WWI, he commanded French troops in the Gallipoli campaign and was severely wounded. After recovering, he commanded the French Fourth Army and helped develop new defensive tactics. His army pursued the retreating Germans after the Allied breakthrough in 1918. Later, he served as High Commissioner in Syria.
