This study investigates the microstructures and fatigue behavior of additively manufactured (AMed) maraging steel deposited on a conventionally manufactured (CMed) base plate. It was found that the fatigue strengths of hybrid structures were lower due to defects in the AMed part, and while post-aging treatments increased hardness, they had little effect on fatigue strength.
