The study examined the effects of nitrogen fertilization on soybean production under two cropping patterns: rice-rice-soybean and rice-soybean-soybean. Results showed that soybean after rice required higher nitrogen (30 kg N/ha) to increase yield from 0.5 to 3.4 tons/ha, while soybean after soybean did not need additional nitrogen and yielded up to 3 tons/ha.
