Eduardo Leandro Nina Quispe was born in 1887 in the Ayllu Chivo of Taraqo. He worked as a servant on a ranch and educated himself by reading newspapers. He founded the Qollasuyu Educational Center in 1928 to educate the Aymaras, Quechuas, and other peoples with content based on their own cultures. Later, in 1930, he founded the Qollasuyu Republic Society to propose the refoundation of Bolivia and the resurgence of the ayllus.
