What is HeLa Cell Mortality from Microbubble Ultrasound about?
This study quantitatively evaluates the mortality rate of HeLa cells induced by microbubble vibration and collapse under pulsed ultrasound irradiation. It was found that microbubbles with a resonance size of approximately 2 μm significantly enhanced cell mortality, with an 84% death rate within 2.5 μm of the bubbles at a sound pressure of 1.0 MPa. The results indicate that the distance between cells and microbubbles and the sound pressure amplitude are critical factors influencing cell viability during ultr
