This paper presents a new score function for intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IFSs) that combines polynomial and exponential functions to improve the evaluation of software quality in multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) problems. The proposed method addresses limitations of existing score functions, particularly in cases where membership and non-membership degrees are equal or zero. The results indicate that this new score function outperforms previous methods in assessing software project quality.
