This study evaluates the efficacy of simple keratectomy and corneal tattooing for treating limbal dermoids, reporting on 9 eyes of 8 patients over a mean follow-up of 50 months. Results showed no complications or recurrence, with all patients achieving good cosmetic outcomes and maintained visual acuity. The findings suggest this combined surgical approach could be a viable alternative to lamellar keratoplasty, especially when donor corneas are unavailable.
