What is Capillary Rise in Stabilised Pavements about?

This paper presents results from capillary rise tests on two road building materials (crushed basaltic rocks and scoria) stabilized with up to 6% of three cementitious additives (GP cement, GB cement, and alkali-activated slag). The tests found that capillary rise occurred up to the full height of test specimens for both materials, except crushed basaltic rocks stabilized with 6% binder.
