The__M^d^__-thickness Δ__~B~__(__K__) of a convex body__K__⊆ R^__d__^is the smallest possible__M^d^__-distance between two distinct parallel supporting hyperplanes of__K__. The latter statement yields a new partial answer to Lassak's question on the existence of Euclidean reduced__d__-polytopes for__d__≥ 3.
