This study investigates the nonlinear optical properties of nanostructured thin films of CdSe, Cu2Se, and CdSe:Cu2Se synthesized via vacuum deposition. The Z-scan measurements reveal that CdSe and Cu2Se exhibit saturable absorption (SA) at lower intensities, transitioning to reverse saturable absorption (RSA) at higher intensities, with two-photon absorption (TPA) being the underlying mechanism.
