What is ROL Matrix for Traditional Healing Research about?

This study examined traditional healing practices in rural Bangladesh through 64 interviews, 18 key informant interviews, and 5 observations. The findings showed that traditional healers are often the first point of contact for healthcare, especially for people with low socioeconomic status. Traditional healing incorporates religious and cultural beliefs as well as indigenous knowledge that has been passed down for generations. However, the study had a small sample size from just two adjacent villages.
