About this document

Connecticut Food Safety Updates 2014 by Patricia Dillon is a document available to read on EtoBox.

DoAg plays an important role in food safety for Connecticut. During Hurricane Irene in 2011, DoAg notified farmers that flooded crops were inedible and ordered some to be destroyed. DoAg monitors food safety, overseeing dairy and egg production as well as feed manufacturing. While its role is sometimes misunderstood, DoAg works with other agencies to ensure high standards and a safe food supply.
