To dehorn a goat, both the corneal branch of the lacrimal nerve and the corneal branch of the infraorbital nerve should be blocked. The corneal branch of the lacrimal nerve is blocked behind the root of the supraorbital process, while the corneal branch of the infraorbital nerve is blocked near the dorsomedian margin of the orbit. For disbudding kids, it is recommended to use xylazine and ketamine anesthesia before the procedure.
