About this document
FTIR Analysis of Romanian Fruit Brandies by Pulbere Neagra is a document available to read on EtoBox.
FTIR spectroscopy and chemometrics were used to analyze 26 traditional fruit brandies from Romania to quantify ethanol and methanol content. Standard mixtures of methanol and ethanol were analyzed to identify characteristic wavelengths for each compound. The FTIR spectra of brandy samples were then measured and methanol and ethanol concentrations were determined based on the calibration. PCA of spectral regions discriminated samples by biological and geographical origin. PLS regression predicted methanol co
