This study assessed the psychological impact of preconception counseling on anxiety levels in couples planning a pregnancy. Results indicated that anxiety levels did not significantly change after counseling or during the first trimester of pregnancy, and 83.4% of participants would recommend preconception counseling to others. The findings suggest that preconception counseling is valued and does not induce adverse psychological effects.
