Disability rights law has been a refuge for many of the fat women who were able to win their lawsuits mentioned throughout this book: Ms. Nedder, the college teacher, Ms. Manuel, the airport bus driver, Ms. Cook, the nurse, and Ms. McDermott, the business systems specialist.
