1. Antifungal drugs are used to treat superficial and deep fungal infections like dermatophytoses. Systemic antifungals include amphotericin B, flucytosine, azoles like ketoconazole and triazoles like fluconazole. Topical antifungals include nystatin, clotrimazole and miconazole. 2. Amphotericin B is nephrotoxic but has a broad antifungal spectrum. It is used for serious systemic fungal infections. Azoles like ketoconazole and itraconazole are less toxic and commonly used orally for dermatophytosis
